Cafe Mare's Business Story

Owners Jean Pierre Iuliano, from Calabria, and Andrea Mura, from the island of Sardinia, have come together to provide an authentic Italian dinning experience. Using only the finest fresh, local organic ingredients, it is their pleasure to share the simple goodness that is Italian cooking, with recipes straight from the homeland. An extensive collection of fine Italian and California wines are available to compliment your meal. It has been an honor to serve the Santa Cruz community since 2002.

Directions to Cafe Mare

Parking is available behind the restaurant, at the "Galleria Parking" alley or next to it, at the River Street Garage, which offers free public parking for the first 3 hours on the ground floor. In case of bad weather, you can walk through the galleria building to get to the restaurant.

Cafe Mare is the perfect place for your next private party or a group event. We can accommodate groups up to 114 people and offer private and semi-private seating inside and outside. We offer four preset menus which will be printed and placed at each table setting with appetizer and entree descriptions, but no prices.
